Take a peek into how Dell restructured their blog strategy.

Laura Pevehouse | Chief Blogger + Editor-in-Chief, Dell

What happens when a massive corporation makes a move to completely revamp a decades old labyrinth of blogs and content? Well, you can only imagine. Now, what if that corporation happened to be Dell, one of the first companies to fully embrace blogging and reap the benefits and respect the world over for its blog presence and search rankings? Enter LauraPevehouse.

Laura was profiled as one of five “social media mavens” in the March 2009 issue of Austin Woman Magazine and named an AdWeek’s TweetFreak Five to Follow. She has been part of the Dell organization for more than 15 years in various corporate communications, employee communications, public relations, community affairs, marketing, branding, social media and online communication roles. But this year, she embarked on one of her most significant projects yet – revamping and restructuring the blog properties of Dell and its acquisition, EMC.

Leading the project internally, Laura and her teams encountered obstacles they could not have foreseen and discovered unexpected opportunities. Laura will share her journey in navigating the technical perspective of the redesign and blog mergers while sharing the most valuable lesson of all – how to ensure productive and constructive team conversations on digital projects when it feels like you’re speaking different languages.
