Q: Why did you join Women in Digital?

A: To network with other women in my industry since I’m new to it and wanted to make some connections.

Q: What’s your specialty? What makes you tick?

A: Writing and editing. I’m passionate about proper grammar!

Q: What was your first job out of college?

A: Waitressing at a Cajun restaurant. Yay for graduating in the Recession!

Q: What is the best career advice you’ve ever received?

A: Being told to create a portfolio and freelance on the side of my old, crap jobs that weren’t in my field so that I could grow and eventually land in a place where I wanted to be.

Q: What can you give your fellow members of Women in Digital?

A: The opportunity to pitch for articles at Adweek. I handle all guest contributions.

Q: What will be your first ask?

A: I’m not sure, honestly. Have to play it by ear.

Q: What does digital mean to you?

A: For me, specifically, it centers around digital publishing and digital publications.

Q: What do you think is the greatest challenge facing women today?

A: Men.

Q: What do you think we can do to overcome that challenge?

A: Tell our stories, the good and bad. Blow the whistle on the bad ones. Support one another.

Q: Why do you love digital?

A: It’s so intuitive for me at this point. But I’ll always love print as well.
